HMRC has published new tax free mileage rates that can be used to reimburse busines journeys travelled in company cars. The rates are effective from 1 February 2007.

Yes but have you noted the significance of this? Check the formulae used. when companies adopt this the majority of employees will be reimbursed at a lower rate than it actually costs them. ie, if you have a 2.0 litre diesel, it had better be doing better than 45 mpg!!!
